Kristin grew up in the Bay Area, an only child of a real estate developer father and an artist mother.
As a child she would play for hours on end with Barbie, create businesses and was passionate about her Match Box car collection. She still loves a great car to this day.
Her favorite authors as a child included Laura Ingalls Wilder, Judy Blume and Erma Bombeck.
After graduating Chapman College, she moved to LA to pursue acting. She also became an excellent waitress.
Kristin moved back to the Bay Area where she became Director of HR for two tech start up and CEO for a green building product company. Her entrepreneurial spirit took another turn when she became a stay at home mom, volunteer and board member. She is also an excellent laundress, short order cook and can negotiate with the best of them.
Kristin lives in the Bay Are with her husband, two sons and male pets.
When needing to escape a testosterone filled home, she can be found doing yoga, meditation and body surfing when she can get to warm water. She is never opposed to retail therapy.
Her passion for travel, people’s stories and extensive research in the fields of psychology, religious studies and spiritual pursuits has provided much to write about. When growing up in a home surrounded by books from the Bible to Wayne Dyer, the same thing could have happened to you.
Kristin has found humor and pop culture references the easiest way to teach people about life’s biggest questions and mysteries. An avid connoisseur of all great 70’s TV shows will do this to you. She’s very proud of her Brady Bunch trivia knowledge.
Her uniqueness comes from saying what most people are thinking and what they are scared of dreaming for their lives.
When not writing from her closet (it is a great closet!), she can be found creating in some of her favorite places—San Diego, Sedona, Hailey, ID and the Hawaiian Islands.
Her mom always told her one day she would be an author. She never believed it. Until now.
